What Makes Us Different?

We care! We want to help you take back your life.

We provide one-on-one patient care for individualized treatment.

We have state-of-the-art technology to help us give you answers.

Technology includes:

  • Video Frenzel Goggles (similar to Videonystagmography)
    • Advanced technology used to determine the cause of dizziness and balance problems.
    • Special goggles with a camera to video and measure eye movement called nystagmus.
    • Helps diagnose the cause of dizziness, like impaired function of the inner ear or BPPV.
  • Bertec Computerized Dynamic Posturography
    • Specialized, state-of-the-art equipment used to challenge and test an individual’s balance under conditions that specifically differentiate between visual, vestibular and/or somatosensory system dysfunctions.
    • Objective data is collected during testing and this information is used to better determine the underlying cause of your condition and aid in personalizing your plan of care.
  • Bertec Static Force Plate
    • Measures a person’s degree of sway (balance) when challenged in specific conditions and compares the results to normative values for height and age range.
    • Results are used to tailor a specific treatment plan and show progression over time.
  • Overhead Rail System
    • Used for safety during balance exercises. Allows more complex exercises to be performed to challenge balance in a safe environment.
    • Helps with fear of falling that happens with patients with balance issues
  • Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS)
    • Low frequency direct current electrical treatment that stimulates the autonomic nervous system to promote relaxation, reduce pain and improve mobility.
    • Used in conjunction with other treatment methods to further address and improve dizziness, cervical/TMJ pain, headaches and tinnitus.
  • Dry Needling (Alpharetta location only)
    • Used in conjunction with other treatment to alleviate musculoskeletal problems of the head and neck only
    • Not performed as a separate treatment

What is Vestibular Therapy?

Vestibular therapy is an exercise-based treatment that specializes in determining and alleviating the primary and secondary causes of inner ear disorders that lead to dizziness and problems with balance. Exercises are designed to improve the function of the sensory systems, including the inner ear, to reduce dizziness and return to normal activities without symptoms. Each patient has a specific, specialized plan of care tailored to treat their symptoms and needs.
